Sarah Marblesbee moved to Portland, Maine in 2005 and was first exposed to glass art by managing at a downtown glass retail shop. Working with local artists and selling their art everyday peaked my interest and inspired her to get behind a torch herself. She started her flame-working adventure by taking a bead-making class at a local art school. From there she started working side-by-side with her partner in 2010, a veteran of the borosilicate glass industry. 

​She made the leap into becoming a full time artist working out of Royal River Glass in 2012 before she and her partner opened up a studio of their own in downtown Portland. She continues to make products for stores all over the country, appear for in person demonstrations at glass events, and began teaching beginner flameworking classes for those want to try melting glass.
